Talking with Angela Ceberano is an immersive experience. As a workaholic and perfectionist in the PR and entrepreneurial world, Angela went from the lowest of lows, burnt-out and lost, to finding great meaning in the most poetic of journeys. She talks with her whole being, taking us along for the ride.
Happiness is worthy of full and prompt attention—this is what Angela lives by today. She takes a holistic approach to bettering her world from all angles, leaving no stone left unturned. The result has reached all corners of her life, from professional to private.
Before coming to this realisation, Angela had a busy life, filled with high-profile meetings and demanding hours. Running the successful PR agency Flourish with her husband Phil, Angela sought a different way of living with a focus on balance, connectedness with nature and a life outside of the office.
Encountering her beautiful horse Marco for the first time allowed Angela to find the stillness she craved. Self-care is an extraordinary thing that we may feel guilty for “indulging” in. But Angela rejects this mindset. She is living proof that time spent with Marco, away from screens and learning something new has, in fact, helped her in business.
Her burnout was a calamity caused by many things. Tragically, she didn’t have a hobby to take her away from the desk and the screen, causing her mental and physical health to suffer greatly. Enter Marco, the most divine horse you can imagine, who changed Angela’s perspective on life in one of the most profound ways possible. Those few hours each week spent with her precious horse allowed Angela to truly understand freedom and happiness: summer days under the Australian sun, climbing mountain trails, cantering along the beach. “Being around my horse, out in the fresh country air, always invigorates me,” says Angela. “The mindful and therapeutic state that horses evoke in humans is remarkable.”

Through the process of daily journaling and precious time spent with Marco, the seed of an idea formed. Angela wanted others to experience her rides with Marco, where a sense of mindfulness came inadvertently through concentrating on the task at hand and enjoying all that nature has to offer. Thus, Marco & Co was born. It is a boutique candle range which conjures the sensory world of stables, saddles and trail rides. It’s an ode to her beautiful horse while allowing others to be drawn into a world where nothing else matters.
“Scent can unlock some of our fondest memories and transport us to a different place and time. My hope is that this candle will remind you of those special times and places that are still very much alive in your heart.”
Marco & Co is a testament to Angela’s generosity of spirit, where sharing information and ideas for a better life are at the core. Her YouTube channel reflects this, too, with videos on not giving up and daily habits that change lives. Angela’s candid approach is authentic and engaging but also provides the viewer with practical ideas and tips. She’s an advocate for finding time to follow a passion, journaling, digital detoxes and anything else that can help you switch off and find clarity in a busy world. She is proof that through prioritisation, you can change your life, your outlook and your trajectory.
