Elevating the Everyday Elegance
Life is a whirlwind of responsibilities, routines, and the constant buzz of everyday life. Amidst
It is a true art form to successfully merge luxury and practicality in interior design. You would be creating spaces that are a pleasure to use, to be in, and to marvel at—that is no small feat. An extraordinary designer, though, can pull it off every time.
Designer Samantha Eisen effortlessly intertwines functionality and design in her projects, drawing on personal collections, art and beautiful materials to create spaces that are both exceptionally liveable and aspirational. Her Bayside project feature shines in Issue 7 of FIGS & FETA Magazine, a spread worthy of every page it graces. Samantha’s design sensibility and authenticity compliment page after page of equally strong women across a broad spectrum of professions and expertise.
“Our objective was to create spaces that were timeless and that didn’t subscribe to a trend so that the interiors could accommodate the here and now. It was about bringing our own idea of life into the home which is so personal and means something different for everyone.”
Near and Far
Samantha developed her skills close to home and also abroad. She honed her talents through years of experience in styling for magazines in Sydney and New York absorbing the creative industries in both cities. Returning to Melbourne after many moons away, she felt drawn to working on residential projects, shifting from the often transient pages of magazines.
“I immersed myself in my clients’ lives. Real clients and homes provided a different type of creative canvas that is steeped in reality.”
Space to Grow
The slow, quiet pace prescribed by the recent Melbourne lockdown allowed Samantha to delve into her deepest desires for her business. What did she want it to look like? How could her newly formed team work successfully but remotely? What sort of projects did she want to work on?
“I finally felt like I had some space. I’m in lockdown looking at my business from an aerial perspective working out what I needed to do for it to succeed. Being still for a moment enabled clarity; a gift in strange wrapping.”
Future Proof
With many more beautiful projects in the pipeline, Samantha and her team are quietly creating some of the most coveted homes for their clients and followers. Each concept is grounded in a design that is based on an authentic, client-centric approach. Samantha’s home designs consistently manifest a layered narrative of both the homeowner and Samantha’s distinct aesthetic.
“We want to stay a boutique firm with a focus on quality and to remain connected to the client. It’s a very personal experience for them, that’s the passion and what we love.”
